Sandro Nicevic is a perimeter-oriented center/forward with an excellent outside shot. He also has good footwork, a soft touch and runs the fast break well. In 1997, he played for Croatia at the EuroBasket and appeared to be set to remain a factor for the National Team for a long time. But after struggling with injury, he fell out of favour. Deemed to have NBA potential, he struggled with the label of being “soft” and was never able to make the move. Nicevic, who speaks over five languages fluently, has played all over Europe, spending time with Cibona, Olimpija, Le Mans, AEK, Unicaja, Le Mans and had quite a good season last year in Besiktas (12.4 pts and 5.6 rebounds per game). He was an excellent role player who came off the bench for Croatia at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
