Career: Peykan (Iran-Superleague 2003-07), Saba Battery (Iran-Superleague, 2007-08)
Standing at 2.18m, Hamed Ehadadi has become one of Iran’s basketball icons along with Samad. Possessing talent both close to and 15 feet away from the basket, Hamed has terrific offensive skills. He is a threat with his back to the basket and can also drill shots from long range. Although showing a need for increased strength and conditioning, Hamed led his club team, Saba Battery, to a league championship as well as two back-to-back Asian titles. At the FIBA Diamon Ball for Men in Nanjing shortly before the Olympics, Hamed played against defending Olympic champions Argentina and showed his great promise, scoring 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds. He averaged 13.4 points per game at last year’s FIBA Asia Championship.
