Marc Gasol’s star has been on the rise ever since he was a late addition to the squad for the 2006 FIBA World Championship. This season, he was the ACB’s Most Valuable Player. He even beat Arvydas Sabonis’ mark of weekly MVP awards in the ACB. He has parlayed the success into a move to the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies for the 2008-09 campaign. Considering his rapid development, the 23-year-old could go on to be as good, if not better than his older brother Pau. Marc Gasol is a very skilled player who can score in the low post and with mid-range shots. Besides that, he is a great passer and reader of the game for his size. He defends, rebounds and uses his immense size to punish opposing centers on both ends of the floor.
