Career: Orlando Magic (USA-NBA, 2004-08).

Dwight Howard, a.k.a. Superman, came to the NBA direct from high school and was just 18 years old. In four quick seasons the 6’11” tower of power has positioned him among the league’s elite players. As a rookie in 2005-06 he became one of only eight players in the NBA history and the first rookie (along with Emeka Okafor) to average a double-double since Shaquille O'Neal and Alonzo Mourning accomplished the feat in 1992-93. As durable as he is talented, in the four NBA seasons he has played in to date, he has played in every game as a member of the Orlando Magic - 328 straight games, a franchise record. Recording a double-double in each of his four NBA seasons, he has improved his offensive output each season and in 2007-08 collected All-NBA First Team honors after averaging career bests of 20.7 ppg., a league leading 14.2 rpg., 2.2 bpg., 1.3 apg., while shooting 59.9 percent from the field. Likewise Howard’s impact for the USA in the international game has elevated each year. Posting respectable statistics of 7.3 points and 4.7 rebounds during the 2006 World Championship, his numbers jumped to 10.0 ppg., 5.3 rpg. and 1.8 bpg., while shooting an unfathomable 81.4 percent from the field in the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship.
