Career: Lichterfelde (Germany-2.Bundesliga, 1999-2001), Penn State (USA-NCAA Div. 1, 2001-04), Panellinios (Greece-ESAKE, 2004), Artland Dragons (Germany-Bundesliga, 2004-05), Drac Inca (Spain-LEB, 2005-06), Turk Telekom (Turkey-TBL, 2006-07), Joventut Badalona (Spain-ACB, 2007-08).

Jan Jagla has made plenty of progress in the past two years in becoming a real force on top teams in Turkey (Turk Telekom) and Spain (ULEB Cup champion DKV Joventut). Jagla's size and mix of inside and outside skills help him create mismatches on offense. And his scoring ability complements Dirk Nowitzki's game very well, giving Germany coach Dirk Bauermann two big players who can play on the wing and on the blocks. After initially serving as back-up to both Nowitzki and veteran, aging center Patrick Femerling, Jagla has already gained plenty of playing time with the starting unit. He is improving defensively and has definitely learned how to win by helping Joventut to Copa del Rey glory and the ULEB Cup crown. At the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, he hardly played and that was due in large part to the addition of Chris Kaman to the line-up.
