Career: Ethnikos Ellinoroson (Athens Div., 1992-95), Ampelokipoi (Greece-HEBA, 1995-96), Ampelokipoi (Greece A2, 1996-97), Dafni (Greece - A2, 1997-99), Panionios (Greece-HEBA, 1999-2001), Olympiakos (Greece-HEBA, 2001-02), CSKA Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2002-08)

Theo Papaloukas has been one of the biggest stars in Europe since the Athens Olympics. The following year, he played well in helping the Greeks fight back from a late deficit to stun France in the semi-finals of EuroBasket 2005. They beat Germany to capture gold, and Papaloukas made the all-tournament team. The following year, Papaloukas was the MVP of the Euroleague Final Four in Prague after CSKA Moscow’s triumph over Maccabi Tel Aviv, and he then made the all-tournament team at the 2006 FIBA World Championship where Greece reached the final. He is a tall playmaker who prefers to come off the bench. His 2.00m in height allows him to post up smaller defenders. If Greece are trailing, Papaloukas’ ability to press and run means he is usually on the floor. He had nine points and 10 assists in the semi-final win over Puerto Rico at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament that clinched a place in the Beijing Games.
