Career: Bayi Army (China-CBA, 1995-2001), Dallas Mavericks (NBA, 2001-02), Los Angeles Clippers (NBA, 2003), Miami Heat (NBA, 2003-05), Bayi Army (China-CBA, 2006-2008)

Wang, the key player of the Chinese Army Team Bayi Rockets, won six consecutive CBA league championships before joining the NBA Dallas Mavericks as the 36th pick in the NBA draft. He never made an impact in the NBA and on April 10, 2006, returned to China. He joined the National Team after a four-year absence and helped them reach the last 16 of the FIBA World Championship in Japan. China’s gold medal triumph at the 2006 Asian Games and Bayi’s 2007CBA title-winning side proved that Wang is still a very important player to the country.
