Career: CA Queluz (Portugal-LCB, 2002-05), Primero de Agosto (Angola, 2005-08).
Armando Costa, who was born in Luanda but grew up in Portugal, could have been made the Portuguese National Team but decided to return to his native country in 2005. One factor in that decision was his desire to play in the big events such as the Olympics and FIBA World Championships. For Queluz in Portugal's first division in 2004-05, he averaged 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game in the ULEB Cup and he also captured the Portuguese league. Still a young point guard, Costa struggled to adjust to the level of the 2005 FIBA Africa Championship and the 2006 FIBA World Championship.
