Career: Olimpia Venado Tuerto (Argentina, 1996-98), Atenas Cordoba (1998-2002), Mallorca (Spain-ACB, 2002-03), Paisas Antioquia de Medellin (Colombia, 2003-04), Obras Sanitarias Buenos Aires (Argentina-Liga A, 2003-04), Ben Hur (Argentina-Liga A, 2004-06), Atenas (Liga A, 2007-2008)
The best scorer of the Liga Nacional in Argentina is a major star in his own homeland but few people, if any at all, know of him outside the country. While he did try to play overseas, spending one season in the LEB with Mallorca in 2002-2003, he never really fit. Despite having signed a two-year deal, he came back to South America to play instead. A good athlete with a great basketball IQ, Gutierrez can step outside and hit three-pointers. Despite lacking some recognition, Gutierrez has always been a regular on the National Team and was in the squad that won the Olympic title in 2004. At last year’s FIBA Americas Championship, he averaged 8.1 points per game.
