INCHEON (
FIBA Asia Championship for Women) - China's 74-62 win in the second semifinal on Saturday ensured Sunday's final against Korea remained a clash for the title. Korea, by virtue of China's entry into the final, earned that lone Olympic qualifying berth available from this Championship.
"We have been getting better and better," said Chinese coach Sun Fengwu. "And everything worked according to the way planned in our homework," he added.
"I can't really go into details, when the entire team played brilliantly. And I think we now are ready to take on Korea in the final," he said.
"Nothing worked for us, where as everything seemed to work for them," Japanese coach Tomohide Utsumi.
"We were very slow to start with, allowed them to get away with the game. To their credit they swarmed all over us with the opportunities we provided them."
