INCHEON (FIBA Asia Championship for Women) - Chinese coach Sun Fengwu expressed satisfaction after his side defeated Chinese Taipei in Level I on Wednesday.

"As you are aware we have come with a second string team. Winning against a team as experienced as Taipei in that scenario is very satisfying," he said after the win. "I won't read too much into the margin of victory, though."

"The most important thing for me today is that the combinations worked without any failure. Probably even we (the think tank) have begun to understand them better now. Therefore we are able to contain the number of mistakes," he said.

Chinese Taipei coach Lin Hung Ling-Yao blamed lack of conditioning for the team's poor run thus far. "We haven't been training as regularly as we should have for the last 4 months or so. So, we are certainly not at our best. Although the players are keen to put up their best, we are just not able to."

"Hopefully, things will fall in place in the semifinals."
