TOKUSHIMA (FIBA Asia Championship) - China handed out a couple of lessons to the young Indonesian outfit, while handing them a 102-47 defeat in Group H of the Quarterfinal rounds on Wednesday.
Power forward Yi Li, with 23 points, was the leader in China's scoring rampage with support from Gu Liye and Chen Chen.
China having failed to retain their title, thus, kept themselves in contention for a top finish in the consolation league.
"These are all very good exposure for my young outfit. We are preparing for the SEA Games at the end of the year. Any game against a big team here, irrespective of the result, is a very good learning experience," said Indonesia coach Roring Fictor.
China 102 (Yi Li 23, Gu Liye 16, Chen Chen 13) bt Indonesia 47 (Faisal 13). Quarterwise: 20-8, 50-25, 78-39.
