Canada led by as many as 18, but the Virgin Islands kept it close by utilizing the three-ball. Jason Edwin connected on six-of-eight from distance and as a team, the Virgin Islands shot 13-of-24 from beyond the arc (54 percent).
Canada controlled the glass, outrebounding the Virgin Islands 39-28 and held a comfortable lead throughout the final period of play.
With the win, Canada improved to 2-1 in tournament play. Edwin's 26 points led the Virgin Islands, which fell to 0-2.
Alphonso Sheppard added 23 for the Virgin Islands in defeat.
