EKATERINBURG (FIBA Women's World League) - TEO Vilnius claimed a 84-67 win over Canberra Transact Capitals at the FIBA Women's World League in Ekaterinburg.

Vilnius dominated the first quarter and their 27-19 lead flattered Canberra, although they were unable to extend their lead greatly, finishing the second quarter 43-36 up.

The Lithuanian side were able to extend the gap to 10 points by the end of the third quarter but finished much stronger in the final quarter to increase victory margin to 17 points.

Nykesha Simon Sales was top performer for Vilnius after pouring in 25 points, with four rebounds and four assists.

She received support from Yelena Leuchanka who scored 20 points with 18 rebounds and Egl Sulciut who contributed 19 points and six rebounds.

Natalie Anne Hurst scored 17 points with three rebounds and four assists for Canberra but only Peta Jane Sinclair (13 points) and Jessica Elizabeth Bibby (10 points) could provide support.
