RUS - CSKA Moscow hammer CBA Beijing to reach final

EKATERINBURG (FIBA Women’s World League) - CSKA Moscow were at their imperious best in a 103-56 mauling of CBA Beijing on Friday to storm into the final of the FIBA Women’s World League.

Ann Wauters led six players in double figures with 17 points while Russian international Olga Arteshina poured in seven of her 11 points and handed out three of her four assists in the first quarter when CSKA took command with a 33-16 lead.

By half-time, the lead was 50-33 and CSKA lowered the boom in the third quarter, stretching the advantage to 75-41.

CSKA now await the winner of the semi between the Women’s World League hosts Ekaterinburg and the USA Basketball Select team.

Edwiga Lawson-Wade of France scored all 12 of her points from long range for CSKA, making four of six (67%) from the arc.

As a team, CSKA connected on 10 of 19 (52.6%) from three-point range.
