BRATISLAVA (FIBA U19 World Championship for Women) - South Korea went top of Group A at the FIBA U19 World Championship for Women after a comprehensive 80-68 win over rock-bottom Argentina.

Ajeong Kang was the star of the show with 24 points and eight rebounds, although she was given superb support with double doubles from Youjin Lee and Danbi Kim.

Lee had 19 points and hauled down 11 rebounds, while Kim shot 11 points and collected 10 rebounds as Korea put their opening-day 75-72 loss to Slovakia behind them.

Argentina were 20-25 up after the first quarter and were only 39-34 behind at half-time.

But Korea were 61-52 ahead by the end of the third quarter, although free throws from Debora Gonzalez saw the deficit reduced to six points with just under six minutes left.

Korea, though, pulled clear with Kang particularly prominent, as she had been throughout.

Stephany Thomas was Argentina's best performer with 20 points and eight rebounds and her only other team-mate in double figures for points was Andrea Boquele, who had 12.
