"Pepu" Hernández makes his debut with the Spanish National Team in Japan, where he will be under loads of pressure because of the high expectations surrounding Spain. However, he knows how to deal with pressure.

He is a very experienced coach in the ACB League, where he led Adecco Estudiantes to eight semi-final appearances and one final - even with lower budgets than many opponents.

A fact is that he has never coached any pro team other than Estudiantes. But there, he has proven to be a high-level technician and is a good fit for Spanish NT.

Hernández likes to work with young players and play a fast, aggressive game. So fans should love watching the National Team. Very polite and helpful, "Pepu" is a friendly person, always open to talk with fans and give interviews to the media.
