Career: TTT BK (Latvia-LSBL, 2001-02), Mount St.Mary’s (USA-NCAA, 2003-07), MBK Ruzomberok (Slovakia-D1, 2007-08), SK Cesis (Latvia-LSBL, 2007-08).
Krumberga is a good offensive player with great shooting skills. She grew up playing at the famous Riga TTP sport school. Unfortunately, a serious knee injury almost ended her basketball career. At 19, she went to the United States to study and play basketball. Her knee healed in time and the coach at Mount St.Mary’s University immediately recognized her talent. During the 2006-07 NCAA season, Krumberga was selected to the All-Northeast Conference First Team after averaging 17.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Krumberga played her first game for the National Team in 2007 and took part in EuroBasket 2007 with a limited role. For her first season in Europe, Dita choose the Slovakian club of Ruzomberok, where she averaged 7.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest in the EuroCup Women. She then joined Latvian club SK Cesis to finish her season.
