Pau Gasol's little brother. He has the same name, almost the same height, but seems a bit far from his "hermano" (brother in Spanish) talent wise… When Pau was drafted by the Hawks, and then traded to the Grizzlies, in the summer of 2001, Marc followed him and got enrolled in a High Scool in Memphis. Some said that he put on way too much weight during his two year stay in the USA, as the extra volume of muscles (and not only muscles) did affect his game. Marc is a pure product of F.C. Barcelona, who has got some EuroLeague experience since 2003, when he was only 18 years of age.

The problem is that ever since, his statistics have never improved much as he was only averaging 3.0 points and 1.3 rebound in Europe's elite competition last season. But don't forget that Marc is only 21. When he is among players of the same age, he is very effective: 16.8 points and 9.3 rebounds in last summer's U-20 European Championship in Russia.
