The 2005-06 season was yet another tough campaign for Foirest, who had to come back from two knee surgeries. At 32, that's a difficult thing to go through. Some might have retired, but Foirest was more determined than ever to return to the game. He worked relentlessly through rehab and came back in January. After struggling during the first few weeks, he never lost faith. He managed to finish strong, even if he was not 100 percent. Coach Claude Bergeaud never thought twice about picking him for the National Team. He likes Foirest's determination, his defence as much as his offence, his shot and his never-ending commitment to 'Les Bleus'.
