Saad Abdulrahman Ali usually plays for As Sadd in the Qatari League but has been loaned to Al Rayyan to help the team win the 2005 Asian Club Championship. At 21, he is still very young but has had the opportunity to show his skills at the last two FIBA Asia Championships. He is a very quick point guard who likes to run the floor, especially on fast breaks. He can pass the ball very well or score - either by driving to the hoop or shooting from long distance. He is be the perfect compliment to Daoud Mosa Daoud at point guard.

Ali missed the opportunity to win the gold medal at the West Asian Games last December with the National Team because he was suffering from knee tendonitis.
