Career: Guangdong (China-CBA, 2000-06).

Wang Shipeng has good chances to start at shooting guard at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan. He made his debut with the National Team last summer at the 2005 FIBA Asia Championship. He has won three consecutive CBA titles with the Guangdong Southern Tigers. He was not assuming a big role in the team during the 2003-04 season when Guangdong won its first domestic title. But he has improved a lot over the past two years, helping his team win the last two championships. This season, he averaged 13.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game and was an All Star for the first time of his career.

He is a good shooter and a decent rebounder. If he continues to develop his game, he may become one of the key players of the Chinese backcourt.
