Daniel Kickert is a very complete player, able to play at the post or shoot from three-point range. He is also a good defender even if he still has to improve his strength if he wants to be effective in the NBA. He left the Australian Institute of Sports in 2002 to commit to St. Mary’s in California. He achieved a good collegiate career averaging more than 12 points per game in each of his four years.
In his senior year, he was posting 16.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game and was invited to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament and had a decent performance. He was invited by several NBA franchise to pass try-outs and has good chances to play in the NBA next season. He is a newcomer with the Boomers.
