At only 22, it seems that Carmelo Anthony has already lived several lives. He came out of his tough neigborhood in Baltimore and won an NCAA title with Syracuse. Then he became the top scorer for the Denver Nuggets as an 18-year-old rookie. Following his impressive first NBA season, "Melo" was invited to represent the United States at the 2004 Olympics. Then everything came to a halt. Anthony had a tough time fitting into Coach Larry Brown's system and ended up at the end of the bench in Athens. That's probably the main reason why he started his second NBA season on the wrong foot. His shooting percentages were down, and he seemed to hold onto the ball too much.

In February 2005, George Karl became the Nuggets' head coach and helped "Melo" out of the hole. Anthony started to move more on the court and after a few weeks was back on track. He hasn't stopped since, averaging 26.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in his third NBA season..
