Manuel Narvaez started his BSN career in his native city in 2000. After spending two seasons at Southern Mississippi Junior College, he committed to Southern Nazarene, in the NAIA. Despite poor competition, he showed he could develop himself into a very good center, averaging 15.8 points and 11.6 rebounds in his senior year. He has played seven seasons in the BSN and posted 12.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game in 2003 with Morovis, which remains his best performance.
If he continues to improve his game, he could become a regular member of the national team. He can already contribute at both ends of the court and has displayed good rebounding and defensive skills.
