Career: Arizona (USA-NCAA, 1998-99), New Mexico (USA-NCAA, 2000-03), Panionios Athens (Greece-ESAKE, 2003-04), Fortitudo Bologna (Italy-Lega, 2004-05), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2005-06).
In three seasons in Europe, Ruben Douglas has made a nice reputation for himself. First, he won the 2005 Italian league finals thanks to a buzzer beater three pointer against Armani Milano. Then, this year, he earned the ULEB Cup title with Dynamo Moscow, scoring 17 points in the final game against Aris Thessaloniki.
A natural scorer, Douglas is a very smart player who relies more on angles, positioning and anticipation than on raw athletic skills. An average leaper and a consistent shooter, Douglas knows how to draw fouls and get to the line. This will be his first chance to play with Panama in a major FIBA competition.
