Born and raised in Chad, Abdel Aziz Boukar is a very physical center despite being only 2.04 meters. Boukar always wanted to become a professional basketball player. He first moved to the Republic of Central Africa, then to Angola. He had the opportunity to become an Angolan citizen in 2001. After a couple of years in Portugal with Benfica Lisboa, Boukar returned to Angola this season and played with Primero de Agosto.

Abdel Aziz had two good years with Benfica (6.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg last season). But he had to go back to Angola for personal reasons in December 2005. Boukar was probably one of the most dominant centers during the 2005 FIBA Africa Championship in Algiers.
