Career: Guangdong (China-CBA, 2000-06).
Despite a disappointing season, Zhu Fangyu remains one of the most promising Chinese players. He has played six seasons in the CBA and has won three consecutive titles with the Guangdong Southern Tigers. He was named in the CBA All-Rookie Team in 2001 and is a three-time All Star. He has averaged over 20 points and 4 rebounds per game in the four seasons following his rookie campaign. But this season, he was limited to 15.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per games. Despite his bad performances, he may be the starting small forward at the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan. He debuted with the National Team in 2002, at the tender age of 19 years.
Zhu Fangyu is an athletic small forward who plays aggressively at both ends of the court. He likes to penetrate to the basket but is also a good three-point shooter.
