Fadi El Khatib is the best player of the Lebanon National Team. He has played nine seasons for Sagesse Beirut and won seven consecutive league titles between 1998 and 2004. He had committed to Alabama University but never played in the NCAA. He has been in touch with several NBA franchises during his career including the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers and the Detroit Pistons and was expected to become the second Lebanese player after Rony Seikaly to play in the NBA.
El Khatib is a great scorer, able to penetrate to the basket or shoot from long-distance. His athleticism also allows him to be a good rebounder and an efficient defensive player. He is considered the second best player in Asia after Yao Ming. His nickname is “the Tiger”.
