Career: Princeton (USA-NCAA Div. 1, 1996-00), Trenton (USA-IBL, 2000-01), Jesi (Italy-Legadue, 2001-04), Napoli (Italy-Lega, 2004-06).
Richard Mason Rocca is a graduate in electronic engineering from the University of Princeton. But while watching Rocca on the court, nobody can really imagine this. To understand his style of play, it's enough to know that he's one of the best rebounders in the Italian League. But, while the official register lists him at 2.04 meters, Rocca doesn't even seem to be 2.00 meters.
Born in the United States, Richard is an unbelievable fighter with a specialty for hook shots, a tool he developed to avoid being blocked by much-taller centers. A naturalized Italian in 2002, Rocca helped the Azzurri win the gold medal at the 2005 Mediterranean Games.
