Baker Ahmad Mohammed never played at a FIBA Asia Championship but has competed at smaller competitions with the Qatari National Team over the past two years, such as the West Asian Games and the FIBA Asia Stankovic Cup. At the West Asian Games held in Doha last December, Mohammed took advantage of the playing time he was offered to show his coach he was ready to assume a larger role. He averaged almost 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 20 minutes per game.

He possesses a very complete game and can shoot from three-point range. At only 20, earning a spot in the Qatari National Team for the 2006 World Championship definitely helps him gain more experience.
