Career: Badalona (Spain-ACB, 1997-02), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2002-04), Badalona (Spain-ACB, 2004-2006).

Alex Mumbrú comes off a very good season with DKV Joventut Badalona, claiming the FIBA EuroCup title, and dreams of playing his first high-level championship with the National Team. He missed the final NT cut last summer right before the 2005 EuroBasket. Mumbrú also missed the 2002 FIBA World Championship due to an injury and has not played a major tournament with Spain yet. An offensive-oriented small forward, Mumbrú is a great shooter who also has good ballhandling and dribbling skills and is able to drive to the basket with success.

Mumbrú has improved a lot on defense and rebounding and has developed a winning spirit that leads him to step up in big games. Still inconsistent, Mumbrú has enough skills to become an offensive force off the bench on any given day.
