Career: Barcelona (Spain-ACB, 1997-2001), Memphis Grizzlies (NBA, 2001-06). Selected in the first round of the 2001 NBA draft (#3), by the Atlanta Hawks.

NBA All Star, top scorer at the 2003 EuroBasket and the 2004 Olympic Games. A world-class superstar. Spanish basketball welcomes him back after a year off due to injuries. Ambitious and hungry for success, Gasol hopes to lead Spain to their first ever FIBA World Championship medal. And he has all the skills to do it.

Gasol is an incredible low post player, where he combines his athleticism and height to awesome moves, including a battery of reverses and hooks. He is also a very dangerous one-on-one player thanks to his great ballhandling and good first step. Gasol is almost unstoppable. If you double team him, he will show his unselfishness and pass the ball out to the open man. Gasol is an excellent shot blocker though he's not that tough on defense. But his size and body make him a presence in the middle who has no issue with grabbing rebounds.
