Career: Purdue (USA-NCAA, 1994-98), Bini Viaggi (Italy-Legadue, 1998-99), Charlotte Hornets (USA-NBA, 1998-2000), Chicago Bulls (USA-NBA, 2000-02), Indiana Pacers (USA-NBA, 2002-03), Sacramento Kings (USA-NBA, 2003-06).
Watching the first practices of the "replacement" Team U.S.A. for the 1998 FIBA World Championship, it was obvious that Brad Miller, 22 at the time, was going to have a long career - in Europe, if not in the NBA. A fierce competitor who is ready to play hard, the Purdue graduate has superior court vision which makes him much more than just another physical big man. Miller knew how to set a screen, how to make an entry pass from the post - things that will be of great help for Team U.S.A. in Japan.
The only member of the 1998 team in the NBA today, Miller also brings a very decent shot from 4 or 5 meters. His experience and no-nonsense approach can make a difference on a squad still short on international knowledge. Averaged 15.0 points and 7.8 rebounds last season with the Kings.
