Career: Otago Nuggets (New Zealand-NBL, 1993-96), UNLV (USA-NCAA Div. 1, 1996-2000), North Harbour (New Zealand-NBL, 2000), Victoria Titans (Australia-NBL, 2000-02), Wellington Saints (New Zealand-NBL, 2002), Fenerbahçe (Turkey-TBL, 2002-03), Otago Nuggets (New Zealand-NBL, 2003), Oostende (Belgium-BLB, 2003), Fenerbahçe (Turkey-TBL, 2004), Erdemirspor (Turkey-TBL, 2004-05), Lokomotiv Rostov (Russia-SuperLeague, 2005-06).

Mark Dickel started his career with the Otago Nuggets and was named the NBL rookie of the year in 1993 before committing to the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV). In his senior year, he was named MVP of the MidWest Conference Tournament and is still the third all time leading passer at UNLV. At 30, Dickel has tremendous experience as he played in both the Australian and New Zealand NBL but also in Europe. He also competed in two Olympic Games and the 2002 FIBA World Championship with the Tall Blacks.

He's nicknamed "Sparky" for his speed that allows him to penetrate easily to the basket. But he is above all a playmaker with excellent passing skills which he has displayed all around the world. He knows how to make his teammates better and is a leader on the court. His father, Carl Dickel, was the coach of the Women's National Team at the 2000 Olympic Games.
