Career: Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania-LKL, 1997-2004), Rostov (Russia-Superleague, 2004-05), BK Barons/LU Riga (Latvia-LBL, 2005-06)
After spending seven years with Zalgiris Kaunas and winning pretty much everything there is to win in Europe, Gustas needed to let his offensive game shine on a smaller team. That's what he did with Rostov last year, reaching the FIBA Europe Cup final, and also this year with Latvian club team BK Barons (Riga). With Riga, he had his best season by far individually, which will probably give him a great deal of confidence in Japan, contrary to Ginevicius and Delininkaitis, who are mainly role players on their teams.
At 26, Gustas is much more assertive and reaching a new stage in his career, as shown by his much improved shot selection, even though he had more than twice as many attempts as last year. He also remains a steady defensive player.
