Career: San Germán (Puerto-Rico-BSN, 1994-2000), Marist (USA-NCAA Div. 1, 1995-99), San German (Puerto-Rico-BSN, 2000-06), Correcaminos (Mexico-LNBP, 2001-04), Madeira (Portugal-TMN, 2004), Spartak St. Petersburg (Russia-SuperLeague, 2005), Strasbourg (France-Pro A, 2006).

Bobby Joe Hatton will turn 30 in October and has often been in the shadows of Carlos Arroyo in the national team. He has played in the BSN league since 1994, with San Germán until 2000 and then with Ponce. Between 1995 and 99, he attended Marist University, averaging 14.7 points and 5.4 assists in his senior year. He played four seasons in Mexico before moving to Europe two years ago. He spent one season in Portugal but, this season, he made only brief stints in Russia and then in France, failing to impose himself. Hatton debuted for the national team in 2001, competed for the 2004 Olympic Games and was a member of the historic team that defeated the United States.

He is a combo-guard but is more comfortable playing the point, using his excellent passing skills to find open teammates. He is a playmaker and a leader on the court, but he can also score as a shooting guard. He likes to use his speed to penetrate to the basket. He is also a good defender.
