Career: Ferro Carril Oeste (Argentina, 1995-96), Boca Juniors (Argentina, 1997-2000), Estudiantes Olavarria (Argentina, 2000-01), Le Havre (France-Pro A, 2001-02), Tau Vitoria (Spain-ACB, 2001-02), Forum Valladolid (Spain-ACB, 2002-04), Lleida (Spain-ACB, 2004-05), Varese (Italy-Lega, 2005-06).

Not the most famous member of the great generation that has made the world its playground, Fernandez is a reliable part of the rotation in the paint. A deadly three-point shooter, he can play at least two positions, causing match-up problems in every case. Quick on his feet, he's also very powerful with a 114 kg frame. After winning both the national championship and the Liga Sudamericana in 2001, Fernandez decided to take the big step to Europe at age 25.

Mostly unknown, he ended up in Le Havre (France), where everybody realized in a matter of days that he wasn't going to stay long in the French Pro A. Tau Vitoria took him onboard a few weeks later, and he's spent the last five years in Europe's top leagues, Spain and then Italy.
