Career: Milano (Italy-Lega, 1996-99), Ragusa (Italy-Legadue, 1999-2000), Milano (Italy-Lega, 2000), Reggio Emilia (Italy-Legadue, 2000-01), Milano (Italy-Lega, 2001-02), Siena (Italy-Lega, 2003), Reggio Emilia (Italy-Lega, 2004-05), Treviso (Italy-Lega, 2005-06).
Mordente represented one of the few positives for Italy from the 2005 EuroBasket. It was Marco's first top level competition with the Italian national team, and he didn't miss his chance to show off his skills, courage and character. A pure product of Olimpia Milano's basketball school, Mordente had an outstanding 2004-05 season in Reggio Emilia, a performance which earned him a three-year deal with Benetton Treviso.
Initially a point guard, he has moved over to the shooting guard position because of his ability to read defenses. He has also improved his confidence in his shot and just makes the right decision at the right time.
