Career: AS Aviacão (Angola, 1995-99), Primero de Agosto (Angola, 1999-06)
Miguel Lutonda is by far the best combo guard in Africa. Two-time MVP of the FIBA Africa Championship (in 2001 and 2003), Lutonda is getting better year after year, despite now being 34 years old. A star in his country, Lutondo never tried to join a European club despite several offers in Portugal and elsewhere. A very good scoring guard who is also efficient as the organizer of the Angolan National team, Lutonda's injury during Athens Olympic Games killed all hopes of his nation. Even if he is not in his prime, Lutonda will probably be one of the stars of the 2006 FIBA World Championship in Japan.
Miguel is an efficient long range shooter with good physical abilities. He has played in two Olympic Games and one FIBA World Championship. And his personal honour roll is quite impressive: 4 FIBA Africa Championships with Angola National Team and 8 Angola Championships with Primero de Agosto Luanda.
