Before Ginobili and his crew took over at the end of the last century, Farabello was already on the national team, playing in the 1994 World Championship at age 20. After last playing in 1996, Farabello has waited ten years to come back to the national team as coach Sergio Hernandez chose him to go to training camp. A veteran point guard, Farabello is the kind of tall point guard who Argentina likes. A pass-first playmaker, Farabello reminds many of Alejandro Montecchia or Pepe Sanchez.
An impact defender, he can read situations with amazing quickness. He has been in the top ten in steals in the Lega for three years running. Not one to take a silly shot or waste a possession, Farabello's experience can be valuable to any team.
