After changing teams in his home country for a couple of years and taking the title with Olimpija in 1998, he went on to become the youngest foreign player in the Italian League, just like Dejan Bodiroga a decade earlier. Nachbar was solid in the Lega and then drafted with the 15th pick by Houston in the NBA. After two quiet seasons, he was trade to the New Orleans Hornets, who in turn sent him to New Jersey. Nachbar is having trouble imposing his style with the Nets, and his statistics last season were his weakest yet. The Worlds will be an opportunity for him to reassert himself, since he still aspires to a lucrative contract in the NBA.
