Career: Partizan (Serbia & Montenegro-YUBA, 1998-2005), Valencia (Spain-ACB, 2005-06).
Many in Belgrade thought Vule Avdalovic would never become a high level player. The 100% Partizan Belgrade product played for all the club's junior teams and eventually became captain. And he was picked up in 2003 by his mentor and then national coach Vujosevic for the EuroBasket in Sweden. This decision was questioned by many, but the young playmaker later disproved the critics and led Partizan to two consecutive national titles.
Very reliable and a great organizer and defender, Avdalovic is devoted to the team game and is very effective. Proof of his quality came last season when he excelled wearing the jersey of Pamesa Valencia. If Vule can make it in the toughest league in Europe - the Spanish ACB - he is well placed to be a "luxury backup" for Jaric and Rakocevic.
