GENEVA/BEIJING (FIBA)- Please be reminded that tomorrow, Friday 22nd August 2008, at 19:00 hours, the International Basketball Federation will stage a press conference in Beijing with the presence of its President, Bob Elphinston, and its Secretary General and IOC member, Patrick Baumann.

FIBA's traditional press conference, which is always held during the Olympic Games and FIBA World Championships, will take place in the press conference room of the Wukesong Indoor Stadium tomorrow, Friday 22nd August 2008, at 19:00 hours, one hour before the beginning of the first semi-final of the Olympic Basketball Tournament for Men featuring Spain and Lithuania.

During this media availability session, Elphinston and Baumann will reflect on the success of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Basketball Tournaments and will address some issues of particular interest for the future of basketball. Immediately after their respective statements, both the President and the Secretary General of the world governing body for basketball will be available for questions from all media representatives in attendance.

Elphinston and Baumann will be speaking in English and simultaneous translation English-Chinese will be provided for the Chinese media representatives.
