GRAN CANARIA (ACB) - Canada international Carl English earned MVP of the Week honors in the ACB after firing Kalise Gran Canaria to a big victory over CB Murcia.
English, who will play a big role for the Canadians at the FIBA Americas Championship later this year, buried four three-balls on his way to a game-high 30 points in Gran Canaria's 87-64 victory over Murcia.
Gran Canaria improved to 10-5 and are in fifth place while Murcia are second bottom at 4-11.
All eyes in Week 16 were on Barcelona where Tau Ceramica boss Dusko Ivanovic returned to face the side that sacked him last year.
ACB leaders Tau won for the 14th time in 15 games, edging the Catalan giants 74-70.
