SAN JUAN (NBA) - Puerto Rican forward Angelo Reyes has been invited to take part in a Milwaukee Bucks training camp.
The 25-year-old was the second best rebounder in the recent FIBA Americas Championship, in which his team took bronze and booked a place in a further Olympic qualifying tournament next year.
Reyes averaged 9.5 rebounds in Las Vegas behind Uruguay centre Esteban Batista (12.4).
Reyes has also impressed while recording 19.97 points and 11.9 rebounds per game for Gigantes in this season's domestic BSN league.
The player is delighted with the opportunity with the Bucks. He told Primera Hora newspaper: "This is something I've been looking forward to for a long time.
"My agent (Ralph Menar) told me there are two spots available in the team. If I work hard, I would be able to clinch one of them.
"I know it will be difficult, but I know I can achieve it."
