TURKEY BOUND - Wild-Card wannabees Nowitzki, Deng lead NBA teams to comeback wins

NEW YORK (2010 FIBA World Championship) - Dirk Nowitzki poured in a Dallas Mavericks record 29 fourth-quarter points to lead the Mavs to a 96-85 come-from-behind triumph over Utah while Luol Deng had an impressive double-double for Chicago as they fought back from an 18-point deficit to stun Milwaukee.

Germany's Nowitzki, who skipped the EuroBasket in Poland this year but could feature for his national side if they receive one of four wild cards to play at the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey, put the Mavericks on his back and carried them to a late victory.

They entered the final quarter trailing by 15 but the former league MVP, who finished with a game-high 40 points, added another amazing chapter to his incredible career.

Deng, kept out of the EuroBasket for Great Britain due to injury, had 24 points and 20 rebounds to lead the Bulls to an 83-81 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Britain and Deng are hoping for a wild card to play next year in Turkey.
