VALENCIA (Liga Femenina) - Ros Casares have completed a major double coup ahead of the new Liga Femenina season with the signings of Katie Douglas and Elena Baranova.

American guard-forward Douglas, 28, has penned a three-month contract with the reigning Spanish champions, while 35-year-old Russian center Baranova has initially signed on for the whole season.

Ros Casares general manager Carme Lluveras said of the two arrivals: "I am very happy with these two signings because with it being October and the season close to starting, it was not easy to find players of their level.

"Their signings are a luxury for Ros Casares."

The Valencia-based side begin the defence of their Liga Femenina title against Hondarribia-Irun on October 27, although a week before that they face Perfumerias Avenida in the final of the Super Cup.
