PARIS (2010 FIBA World Championship for Men) - France will play a one-off game against the USA at Madison Square Garden on 15th August as part of the team's preparations for the FIBA World Championship, which begins in Turkey just under a fortnight later.

France will hold training camp from 25th July to 6th August in Pau and take on Tunisia on 7th August. They will travel to Toronto to face Canada - one of their opponents in Izmir's Group D - twice (12th and 13th August).

Vincent Collet's men will then make the trip across the border to challenge Mike Krzyzewski's Team USA as part of a tournament organised by Nike.

The last time the two teams went up against one other on American soil was at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
