COLORADO SPRINGS (NCAA) – Brazil national team hopeful Jonathan Tavernari of Brigham Young University has been voted as the best sixth man in the Mountain West Conference of American college basketball.

Tavernari has played for Brazil before, including at the 2008 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Athens, and is a candidate to represent the country this year at the FIBA World Championship in Turkey.

He averaged 11.1 points and 4.8 rebounds as the first man off the bench for the Cougars in conference play.
